Day 2 July 16th
Hi,
not quite so bewildered today - walked miles around Tokyo in 34 degree heat...mad dogs and Englishmen and so on.
Woke dead early because of jet lag - we were in Yoyogi Park by 9.00am - very beautiful wooded area with a big Shinto shrine in the middle.
Had lunch in Shibuya - which is like Times Square and a bit of a Mecca for Japanese teenage fashionistas.
Hopped on a Metro to the Imperial Palace gardens - but by that time it was seriously humid - so we wended our way back to the hotel, had a nap, then ate out at a local Japanese Italian Restaurant.
We'll keep in touch.
